The NPR decline continues.

KVUT, a Texas NPR station, shut down after three years. The University of Texas at Tyler says it’s refocusing resources on its communication department to better prepare students for media careers. This comes amid funding issues for NPR affiliates nationwide. Stations in LA, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, DC, and Sacramento have all faced cuts. NPR is also under scrutiny for alleged lack of viewpoint diversity in its national coverage.
