Political boom.

Political ad spending for the 2024 Primary, Presidential, and Congressional elections has reached nearly $42 million in Senate primary elections alone. Maryland’s Senate race leads with $9.8 million spent by David Trone (D). Montana and Ohio also witness significant ad spending, with $7 million reserved for Montana’s primary, and Ohio’s competitive race involving incumbent Sherrod Brown (D) and Republican contenders Tim Sheehy and Matt Dolan. The Ohio Senate primary is set for March 19. Despite initial momentum, Tim Scott withdrew from the Republican Presidential Primary, cutting $10.5 million in ad spending. Nikki Haley’s campaign made $1.8 million and $2.3 million broadcast reservations for Iowa and New Hampshire, respectively. New entrants Fight Right and California Governor Gavin Newsom’s PAC entered the Presidential ad space with targeted campaigns against Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis, respectively.
