Pack out.

The new president requested, and received, the resignation of controversial US Agency for Global Media CEO Michael Pack. The move is somewhat unusual, because normally such appointees are allowed to serve out their terms; but Pack incurred the wrath of pretty much everybody by his wholesale firing of the boards and leadership of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia, and Middle East Broadcasting Networks. In his resignation letter, Pack denied having a political agenda, and called calls for his resignation “disheartening” and “a partisan act.”
