I’m sad to report the passing of a broadcast pioneer, known for his many activities in California radio. Besides owning radio stations, Mr. Orchard founded Orchard Media Services with his daughter, Kelly, who continues to operate that consultancy. I had the privilege of meeting with Ken and Kelly some years ago at a southern-California beachfront burger joint, and was taken with Ken’s boundless enthusiasm for his projects; it was obvious he absolutely loved his work.
