FM translator rule challenges denied.

The FCC has told four challengers that their four Petitions for Reconsideration of the agency’s FM translator rule revisions have been dismissed or denied. The LPFM Coalition and the Fellowship of the Earth had asserted that the Local Community Radio Act requires an LPFM preclusion study for any translator modification application; the FCC noted that the requirement applies only to new stations. Other claims by The Fellowship of the Earth, Charles M. Anderson, and Skywaves Communications were also dismissed by the Commission.
