Commission yanks violator’s licenses.

The FCC Media Bureau has revoked the licenses of a Phoenix, Arizona AM station, KASA-AM, and its FM translator, K294CW, due to regulatory violations. The stations, operated by KASA Radio Hogar, Inc., aired Regional Mexican music under the name La Indiscreta 106.7 since 2018. An investigation followed a complaint in December 2023 from Entravision, which alleged interference with its full-service station, KFUE in Buckeye, AZ. The FCC discovered that KASA had been broadcasting from an unauthorized location for over a year without approval, automatically terminating its license. Attempts to remedy the violations through special temporary authority and waivers were dismissed as moot due to the license revocation.
