At the annual breakfast of the
Broadcasters Foundation of America, held on the last day of the NAB Show, the
Foundation honored several industry leaders who have made an impact on the
broadcast industry and in their local communities with the Leadership Award. This
year the award went to Byron Allen, founder/chairman/CEO of the Allen Media Group;
Pierre Boulevard, chief insights officer, Cumulus Media; Ralph Oakley (retired),
president/CEO, Quincy Media; Christine Travaglini, president of the Katz Radio Group;
and Dennis Wharton (retired), executive vice president/media relations of the National
Association of Broadcasters.
