Big groups cut loose “assets.”

The 800-pound gorillas of the industry—iHeart, Entercom, Beasley, etc.—are downsizing (becoming 500-pound gorillas?) as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. The cuts are affecting almost all departments—executives, programmers, personalities, promotions team members, producers—appropriately, sales, not so much. And mostly the people who are being laid off are the ones making the most money, leaving the B Team running the show.
