A big day for Apple, as CEO Tim Cook unveiled the new iPhone 6, the super-sized iPhone 6 Plus, the Apple Watch – and Apple Pay, so you can afford all of them. The new phones are bigger, faster (50 times faster than the original iPhone), with improved battery life, higher-resolution screen and camera. They begin shipping September 19. The iPhone 6 starts at $199: the 6 Plus starts at $299. For the budget-conscious – as well as those who like smaller screens – the 5C will be offered free and the 5S will be $99. Apple Pay is the company’s foray into the “mobile wallet” space; it’s tied in with the major credit cards and will be accepted at over 220,000 locations. As for the watch, it’s available in a variety of configurations starting at $349, but it requires an iPhone 5 or an iPhone 6.
