The week in bankruptcy: objection to Cumulus plan from music licensors.

A quartet of holders of copyrights to pre-1972 music is opposing Cumulus’s Chapter 11 reorganization, alleging that the company is violating their copyright by “reproducing and copying” their recordings in violation of California law. The companies—ABS Entertainment, Barnaby Records, Brunswick, and Malaco—say they are owed more than $4 million, and “hundreds of millions of dollars” are owed to other pre-1972 music copyright owners.
