holmes-eleanorA new voice has emerged urging the FCC to ban the name “Redskins” from radio and television. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), is saying, “The FCC cannot stand by, particularly after there has been an official finding that our hometown team name is derogatory.” The licenses of two Los Angeles television stations, KTTV and KNBC, are being challenged by activist groups for saying the Redskins name on the air.
