The Commission cuts back.

The FCC, which previously announced a force reduction, has now released the field offices the agency intends to shutter. The order, titled “Reorganization of the Enforcement Bureau’s Field Operations,” says, “Through this Order, we act to improve the Commission’s efficiency, effectively manage Commission resources, and align the Commission’s field enforcement activities with contemporary needs for a field enforcement presence.” The offices on the chopping block include Anchorage, Buffalo, Detroit, Houston, Kansas City, Norfolk, Philadelphia, San Diego, San Juan, Seattle, and Tampa.
