Survey says: Smartphones rule.

smartphone-kingAccording to the just-released “Q4 2015 Comparable Metrics Report” from Nielsen, smart phones are now the most used platform across all adult demographic groups. Adults 18+ are glued to their tiny screens an average of 5.8 times per week; television comes in second at 5.5 times per week. In older demographics, tablets supplant phones as the most-used device. Commented Nielsen Senior Vice President/Audience Insights Glenn Enoch, “Smartphone penetration is nearly as high as TV set and radio ownership, and consumers carry their phones everywhere. High penetration plus portability and customized functionality have made them a staple of consumers’ media diet. Smartphones provide advertisers and marketers with the opportunity to reach consumers with information throughout the day.”
