Survey says: Radio revenue takes a slight dip.

fratrickAccording to the first quarter edition of “Investing in Radio Market Report,” BIA/Kelsey says that radio revenue totaled $14.7 billion in 2015, compared to $14.9 billion the previous year. The study breaks down that revenue into over the air ($14 billion, down from $14.3 billion in 2014); and digital ($710 million, a gain of $75 million over 2014). According to Senior VP/Chief Economist Mark Fratrik, “Despite declining OTA revenues, radio remains an important part of the local marketing mix, as the fourth largest local media segment, with more than 10% of the local ad revenue pie.”
