According to a new mobile ad revenue forecast from eMarketer, Google dominates the space with projected earnings of over $1.4 billion in 2012. Pandora is number two, with $226 million; Twitter is in third place with almost $130 million. Fan favorite Facebook is expected to finish sixth with almost $73 million.
But next year, says eMarketer, it’s a whole new ball game: Facebook gets traction and jumps to second place ($387 million), behind Google ($1.4 billion) and ahead of third-place Pandora ($350 million).
Total mobile ad revenue in the U.S. is predicted to grow from $2.6 billion in 2012 to $6.6 billion in 2014.
