Survey: Loyal Radio Listeners Not Just There for the Music and Talk

Some new research from Mark Kassof & Company reveals that the overwhelming majority of listeners to a particular radio station talk about emotional attributes as much as formatics.

More than 75% of the respondents, for example, chose the words “comfortable,” “friendly” and “informed” to describe their favorite station. As you might imagine, listeners to different types of stations describe their favorites differently, but in terms that make sense—“comfortable” for Christians stations, “aggressive” for News/Talk, and “hip” for Urban stations.
