Streaming in peril.

Strategy Analytics has released a report, called “Will the Royalty Crisis Defeat the Music Streaming Industry?” that shows the music business can’t profit from online streaming, even though streaming has been growing by leaps and bounds. Strategy Analytics analyst Leika Kawasaki, who compiled the report, notes, “Technology is evolving and changing the way consumers discover, listen to, share, and interact with music, but it is also a significant factor in the decline of music industry revenues.”
