BIAKelsey_150x58According to BIA/Kelsey’s “Local Commerce Monitor,” 74.5% of all small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) use social media in their advertising and promotion – for more than any other media category. Facebook rules SMB usage, with 55% of respondents say they have a Facebook page for business use, and 20% saying they have run a Facebook and or promoted post. According to BIA/Kelsey Director of Research Steve Marshall, “Social media is not only number one in terms of utilization by SMBs, it is also number one in share of SMB media spending.”
