RTDNF slates award winners.

The Radio Television Digital News Foundation, the charitable offspring of the RTDNA, has announced the recipients of its 29th annual First Amendment Awards. The top award, the First Amendment Award, goes to cable network CNN. According to RTDNA Executive Director Dan Shelley, “Over the last year, journalists have faced increasing, active assault by people in positions of power… yet they have persisted in their commitments to public service, reporting without fear or favor, serving their hometown communities and the country by providing key context to important public questions and producing winning coverage to uphold the public’s right to know and make more informed decisions for themselves.”
