According to NAB Executive Vice President/Communications Dennis Wharton, the final attendance number for the recently-concluded NAB/Rab Radio Show will be somewhat north of 2100, which falls a couple hundred short of the official tally for last year’s conference in Orlando (2304). Editor’s $0.02: Radio Show attendance has always fluctuated according to where it is held. (At least with the Las Vegas Spring show, you are comparing the same venue from year to year.) Shows in the middle of the country tend to do well, but they are trumped by shows that are held in popular vacation cities (like Orlando). It will be interesting to see the numbers for next year’s show in Atlanta.
