Pittman says: Radio gets poor marks for monetization.

In a TV interview, iHeartMedia Chairman/CEO Bob Pittman noted that radio’s return on investment is “by most estimates much greater than television or digital,” but, “What’s happening in radio is that it has done a very poor job of monetizing what they have.” Pittman goes on to say, “The good news about our business is that we don’t need a new product to generate more revenue. We just need to monetize better what we have.”
