NAB to FCC: Drop cross-ownership restrictions.

The National Association of Broadcasters has filed ex parte comments with the FCC urging changes to what it termed the “inequitable” broadcast ownership rules. For one thing, the NAB is urging the elimination of the newspaper-broadcast cross-ownership ban, citing a statement from the Third Circuit Court that the ban is in place “even though the FCC determined more than a decade ago that it is no longer in the public interest.”
