“Infinite Dial” Scrutinizes Public Radio

The latest breakout from The Infinite Dial 2013: A Look at Radio Format P1s from Arbitron and Edison Research looks at Public Radio partisans: They are much more likely to have in-home Wi-Fi with multiple devices connected; more likely to listen to online radio weekly; more likely to be aware of podcasting, and nearly three times as likely to have listened to a podcast in the last month; over half own a smartphone; they’re much more likely (40%) to own a tablet; more likely to have a social media profile; twice as likely to be getting e-mail from their favorite (P1) station. Looking at social media, Facebook is in the lead, but LinkedIn, Google+ and Twitter usage are still higher than average.
