upton-walden-lattaFred Upton (R-MI), chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee; Greg Walden (R-OR) and Bob Latta (R-OH), chairman and vice chairman, respectively, of the House Communications and Technology Subcommittee, have sent a letter to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) urging them to investigate the FCC Enforcement Bureau to see whether they have complied with various recommendations made by various committees and the GAO itself over the past several years. According to the letter, “It appears from Commission responses that in the intervening years no consistent metrics—and at times, none whatsoever—were in place for the Enforcement Bureau.”
