Golfing for dollars.

The Broadcasters Foundation of America held its annual Celebrity Golf Tournament at the Westchester Country Club, featuring a gaggle of broadcasters and sports figures, including Scott Shannon, Jets announcer Bob Wischusin, Basketball Hall of Famer Ray Allen, and several others. The tally for the day: a quarter of a million dollars, which will be put to good use helping broadcasters in need. According to BFOA Chairman Dan Mason, “For the second year in a row, we have seen an unprecedented increase in applications for emergency aid due to the devastation from natural disasters. Additionally, more broadcasters are reaching out for monthly grants, as people live longer but do not always have the means to pay for life-sustaining medications and medical care.” More information about the Foundation and how you can help, go to
