FCC chairman proposes EEO enforcement move.

Chairman Pai is circulating a proposal that would move enforcement of the equal employment opportunity rules from the Media Bureau to the Enforcement Bureau, which is supposedly in line with recommendations from a number of advocacy organizations including Multicultural Media, the Telecom and Internet Council, the NAACP, the National Urban League, LULAC, and the Rainbow Push Coalition. The chairman noted, “By deploying staff tasked with enforcing the Commission’s EEO rules in the Enforcement Bureau, we’ll be able to improve the FCC’s enforcement of those rules and strengthen our commitment to fighting discrimination.”
