FCC 2014 Budget: $10 Million More

The FCC’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2014 is just under $360 million. The Commission is also requesting a decrease in funding coming from auctions amounting to just under $10 million.

The budget is $10.2 million more than what they finalized for 2013. The new budget takes into account the Obama Administration’s proposal to allow the Commission to set spectrum fees on auctioned spectrum licenses, estimated to bring in $4.8 billion through 2023.

The Commission also announced that 85 bidders have been listed as qualified to participate in FM Auction 94. Bidding is set to begin on April 23 .
