As of this writing, the Congress is trying to resurrect government services in the wake of a partisan impasse that shuttered the government effective Midnight Friday (1/19). But before you go fiddling with your power, be aware of the fact that the FCC will continue to operate for at least a week: “In the event of a partial government shutdown, because of available funding, the Federal Communications Commission plans to remain open and pay staff at least through the close of business on Friday, January 26.”
