Commissioners back on the barbie.

Clyburn, Pai, O’Rielly

The three FCC Commissioners climbed Capitol Hill once again last week for an oversight and reauthorization hearing before the House Communications and Technology Subcommittee. Ajit Pai, Mignon Clyburn, and Michael O’Rielly were raked over the coals about a number of issues, but the focus was the rollback of the Net Neutrality policies put in place at the end of the term of the last administration. Representative Mike Doyle (D-PA) told the Commissioners that he felt “the FCC is on the wrong path.” His colleagues for the most part concurred: Representative Frank Pallone (D-NJ) offered the opinion that siding with large corporations on matters like Net Neutrality is against the best interests of “hard-working Americans.”
