Commission okays mega-merger.

The marriage of Entercom and CBS Radio has been approved by the FCC. The agency issued a 20-page decision, which includes swaps and spin-offs in several markets and dismisses several complaints by one Ed Stolz, who has been gunning for Entercom and other broadcasters for years. (Stolz held, for example, that an obscenity on CBS TV’s “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” was actionable, even though the offending word was masked both aurally and visually, because the show uses wireless mics and thus invokes FCC indecency rules.)
