Commission considering sponsor ID rules changes.

The Radio Broadcasters Coalition has made a proposal, on which the FCC is seeking comments, that eliminates the Commission’s requirement that broadcasters air sponsorship ID announcements when paid material is broadcast. Specifically, radio stations airing music or sports and having websites could offer less frequent on air announcements coupled with enhanced online disclosures. Comments are welcome on MB Docket Number 15-52 on or before April 13, with replies due May 12.
