Chairman Tom parachutes into Aspen.

The FCC chairman will be joining the Aspen Institute as a Senior Fellow in its Communications and Society Program when he leaves the Commission on January 18. Wheeler, in announcing the move, took the opportunity to reiterate his Open Internet philosophy, saying, “Throughout my tenure as Chairman, I maintained that network providers have certain responsibilities to their consumers, including access, interconnection, consumer protection, public safety, and national security. I think Aspen’s unique platform for dialogue will be an excellent opportunity to address those goals.”
