The Broadcasters Foundation of America is asking broadcasters to help the foundation help other broadcasters. This year, the BFOA has awarded a record $1.3 million to needy industry members, including nearly $300,000 because of the hurricanes and wildfires that have displaced so many. (By comparison, last year the foundation dispersed what was then a record $1 million.) According to BFOA Chairman Dan Mason, “In its 70-plus years of existence, the Broadcasters Foundation has provided financial aid to every broadcaster who qualified. It is only through the generosity of the people in our industry that the Broadcasters Foundation can continue to deliver this much-needed assistance to those in our profession who need it most.” For more information, visit www.broadcastersfoundation.org.
