The New FCC (Artist’s Rendition)

The FCC held a swearing-in the ceremony last week to usher in Brendan Carr and Jessica Rosenworcel, putting the Commission at full capacity for the first time in months. Chairman Ajit Pai—himself awaiting confirmation—described Carr and Rosenworcel as “valuable assets to the FCC.” Rosenworcel, in her official statement, said, “I firmly believe that the future belongs to the connected. No matter who you are or where you live, you need access to modern communications to have a fair shot at 21st century success.” For his part, Carr says, “I look forward to hitting the ground running and working with my colleagues at the Commission to serve the public interest.”
