(SMRN) is published every week, 52 weeks a year.
SMRN is sent as an Adobe Reader
(PDF) file via e-mail. Most subscribers print out the newsletter in full

Publication day is Thursday; the
newsletter is transmitted Wednesday night.
We have a paid subscriber base of around
600; with promotional issues and pass-along we estimate a total of about
2,000 readers a week. SMRN
is 100% paid-subscription - no comps.
Our readership comprises small- and
medium-market managers and owners (approximately 60% small, 40% medium),
with a smattering of large-market operators and industry vendors.
Ninety-five percent of our subscribers
are in the United States - fairly evenly distributed across the country -
with the remaining 5% in Canada, the Pacific Rim, England, Europe, India and
other countries. Sixty-five
percent of our subscribers take no other paid-subscription trade
publication. We offer a variety
of value-added services to our advertisers, including consulting and
artwork, at no charge. Our
advertisers have found that the best results come from consistent, long-term
schedules. We recommend placement every week, 52 weeks a year; the size of
your ad depends on your budget.
